We are Value Plays Only MTG, a fast-paced, narrated cEDH gameplay channel.
The goal of our channel is to produce the kind of videos we like watching. Instead of focusing on player cams, our videos are all about the gameplay. One day we may even fetch for the right colors, to prove the misplay counters wrong!
This channel started as a way for our pod to document the fun we were having and re-live those moments when it is played back. Hopefully that comes through in the end product. We aim for good games first, and competent plays second. This page shows the people who make up our team, and those we frequently collaborate with.
Signature Deck: Najeela, The Blade Blossom
Favorite Phase: Combat
Color Identity:
Dan is a big fan of combo decks, playing a lot of 5 color, and always jamming aggressive lines. He LOVES non-deterministic loops, random flips, and 7 mana commanders.
Dan also does most of the art used on the channel, including our logo and many of the playmats we use. Ping him if you need art: @strault on Discord.
Signature Deck: Dargo, the Shipwrecker / Tymna, the Weaver
Favorite Set: Khans of Tarkir
Color Identity:
Tyler jams early or slowly grinds out wins with on board value, really straddling the mid-range line. He LOVES tutor chains, and combos you get to see coming on board, but just can't stop.
He loves the smell of storming in the moring, and drawing cards in the afternoon.
Signature Deck: Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow
Favorite Spell: Force of Despair
Color Identity:
Jon never wins early. This man has never heard of pushing turn 3, opting always to control the board and slowly tempo opponents. He LOVES a good Turn 0 Commandeer and exiling your Win Conditions.
He also edits the show, so direct complaints here.
Signature Deck: Sheoldred, the Apocalypse
Favorite Card: Painful Quandary
Color Identity:
Kami takes the Stax approach to 11, making opponents pass turn and regret their value engines. She LOVES flipping into Rule of Law effects with Winota, and having people ask what Teferi's Puzzle Box does.
Now specializing in premodern gameplay, this channel used to feature a lot of cEDH gameplay.
Nick, from the Topdeckers has been a frequent member of games on the channel. If you like what he adds to our games, check them out.
This service is a great jump-in point for people looking to explore the format. We get asked frequently where to get proxies, and they make it very easy to get started.
You can even use our the link below and our coupon code VALUE to save 15% on your order with them (and we get nothing out of it). Check out their affiliates page if you want to order some of our signiture decks, we should have an entry in there soon, or you can paste any moxfield list in.
